# How to add attendance logs entry in Payroll

## How to add attendance logs entry in Payroll like Absents, overtime, Salary on hold,etc

The Attendance Log Entry screen in the payroll mode is for making the amendments in the attendance that are missed or overlooked in the personnel or Attendance module.

This screen enables manual amendment of attendance records like absents, overtime, etc.

The details also can be uploaded using excel sheet and the template can be downloaded from the screen by clicking the “Download Excel Template” button. To upload data using excel,

- Download the excel template
- Fill the excel sheet with the required details.
- Select the attendance type, browse the file and click on upload and save data.
- Any exceptions/error while uploading the file will be listed below.
